Big Sur Land of Light & Power

My family arrived in Big Sur 1957, I was seven the oldest of five kids. Big Sur was still an undiscovered wild place during the bohemia era of Henry Miller. My parents at the time were internationally recognized artists, creating fine art silkscreen prints, serigraphs. Having the pleasure of growing up without television, in an artistic family, my eye was trained from an early age to see the world as an artist. For the last 16 years I have created photos of the rugged Big Sur Coastal Light, capturing the magic and rendering into a photo-painting this ever changing shimmering light.
